Which was read a second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to refund to Achilles Ford,
brother of William G. Ford, late of Baltimore city, de-
ceased, a sum of money erroneously paid as collateral in-
heritance tax by him to Stephen R. Mason, Register of
Wills of Baltimore city, on the estate of said William G.
Ford, deceased, and which sum of money covered into the
State Treasury, by said register of wills, less 25 per cen-
tum commission retained by him. "

Which was read a second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact sec-
tions 143 A. 143 B, 143 C and 143 D, of Article 23, of the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title 'Corpo-
rations, ' sub-title 'Insurance Department" said section,
when enacted, to cover the subject of 'Insurance
Brokers. ' '

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In line 5 of section 1 of printed bill, after the word
"repealed, " strike out words "and that sections 143 A,
143 B, L43 C and 143 D, as follows, be enacted and follow
after section 143, of Article 23, of the Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland and to, " and insert in lieu
thereof the words "and re-enacted so as to. "

grossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments section 126, of Article 23, of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title 'Corporations, '
sub-title 'Insurance Department, ' said section relating to
the subject of insurance licenses, taxes and fees. "
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In line 43 of printed bill, after the word "thereof, "
strike out words "for valuing policies of health insurance
having more than one year to run as provided in sub-sec-
tion 6 of section 122, of this Article, the sum of $30 for
the first $1, 000 policies or any fractional part thereof, and
$5 for each additional 1000 policies or fractional part
thereof. "
