Charles county, and Chiseldine's Island in St. Mary's

Which was read a first time.

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:

House bill entitled "An Act to amend the charter of
the Home of the All Saints Sisters of the Poor of Balti-
more city. "

Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays. "
Also,

House bill entitled "An Act to amend the charter of
the Firemen's Insurance Company of Baltimore, a body
corporate, existing by virtue of the Act of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1825, chapter 55, and the Acts
supplementary thereto or amendatory thereof, by pro-
viding for the reduction in the number of directors of
said company fixed by the Act of 1892, chapter 143, sec-
tion 5, sub-section 13; and also to ratify and approve the
increase heretofore made by the stockholders of the com-
pany in the number and par value of the shares of capi-
tal stock of said corporation, in pursuance of section 4,
sub section 2, of said last-mentioned Act. "

Endorsed "Read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays. "

Also,

Senate Joint Resolution to protect the interest of the
State of Maryland in respect to the stock held by it in
the Washington Branch of the B. & O. R. R. Com-
pany.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Ways and Means.

Also,

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with

amendments, section 179, of Article 17, of the Code of

Public Local Laws of Maryland, entitled 'Prince George's

County, ' sub-title 'Jurors, ' as amended by the Acts of

1898, chapter 433.
