Harford county, protesting against any change in the
local option law of said county.

Which was read and referred to the Harford county
delegation.

Mr. Collins presented a, protest from John Mason and
106 other taxpayers of Easton, against any change in the
tax rate of said town.

ORDERS.

On motion of Mr. Biggs, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Wolfinger be excused from attend-
ance at this session on account of business.

On motion of Mr. Lehmayer, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Bramble be excused from to-day's
session on account of business.

On motion of Mr. Scrimger, it was

Ordered, That the Committee on Claims pay George
H. Wood ward the sum of two hundred and one dollars
for services rendered the General Assembly as chief mes-
senger to the Governor for the period of sixty-seven
days.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Claims.

On motion of Mr. Sanford, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Mencke be excused from to-day's
session on account of an important business engagement

Mr. Feldmeyer submitted the following order:

Ordered, That William M. McNasby be paid the sum of
three dollars for one table for the use of the engrossing.
room of the House of Delegates, as per per bill.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Claims.

Mr. Robinson submitted the following order:

Ordered, That all minor employees appointed by or-
ganization Committee and Speaker of the House of Dele-
gates, receive $25 worth of stationery and $10 worth of
postage stamps, omitting those having received the same.

Mr. Martenet, moved a suspension of the Rules;
