On motion of Mr Waters,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Constitutional
Amendments to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to
amend section 40 of Article 4, of the Constitution of the
State of Maryland. "

On motion of Mr. King (by request).

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary to

introduce a bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 57 of

Article 16, of the Code of Public General Laws, title

'Chancery, ' and to re-enact the same with amendments. "

On motion of Mr. Collins.

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to in-
troduce a bill entitled "An Act to pay to James J. Col-
lins, Joseph Bradley, Martin Walsh, James Edwards,
Albert Hodges and Arnold Thelbegenk, seamen employed
on the schooner M. M. Davis, the sum of two hundred
and seventy dollars, indemnity to them for the loss of
money and other personal property aboard said schooner
which was sunk by collision with the State steamer Gov-
ernor Robert M. McLane. "

Senate bill entitled "An Act to add additional sections
to Article 41, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
'Governor, ' to be known as 'Sections 25 and 26, ' and to
follow section 24. '"
