PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.

Mr. Mitchell presented the petition of Wm. A. Divers,
Joseph F. Mitchell and 17 others residents of Harford
county, protesting against any amendments to the local
option law of said county.

Which was read and referred to the Harford county
delegation.

Mr. Roberts presented the petition of Thos. W. White
and 64 other citizens of Wicomico county, asking that a
law be passed empowering the Fish Commissioners to
destroy eels in Wicomico river.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Chesapeake Bay and Its Tributaries.

Mr. King presented a memorial, being certified copy
of the report of the Grand Jury of St. Mary's county,
September Term, 1899, recommending a return to the
old manner of administering the oath to witnesses, and
the passage of a law creating a county treasurer for St.
Mary's county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee op.
Judiciary.

Mr. Dudley presented the petition of G. E. Haddaway
and other citizens of Talbot county, asking for a county,
treasurer.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ju-
diciary.

Also,

The petition of P. B.. Spring and other citizens of Tal-
bot county, asking for a county treasurer for said county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ju-
diciary.

Also,

The petition of S. E. Nicholson, secretary, for General
Local Option law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Linthicum presented the petition of Thomas H.
Vickers and 80 other citizens asking for a fence law for
Parson's Creek Election district of Dorchester county.
