The House considered the Order of the Day, being

Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments, section 229, of Article 93, of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, as amended by the
Act of 1892, chapter 465. "

Mr. Siegmund moved that the bill be recommitted to
the Judiciary Committee.

Mr. Satterfield then moved that the motion of Mr.
Siegmund be laid upon the table.

Which motion was adopted.

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Add in line 16, after the word "life, " the following:
"The Judges of the Orphans' Court of Baltimore city
shall receive nine dollars for every day's attendance upon
the session of said Orphans' Court of Baltimore city, to
be paid by the city of Baltimore at the end of each and
every month, and the sessions of said Orphans' Court of
Baltimore city shall continue from 11 A. M. to 3 P. M.,
if necessary, for the transaction of the business of the
court; and provided, that all provisions of any Public
General Law or any Public Local Laws inconsistent here-
with, be and the same are hereby repealed. '.
