In line 9, of section 1, after the word "called, " insert
the word "Carroll. "

Which was adopted.

The bill, as amended, was read a second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to grant and declare the
sanction and consent of the General Assembly of Mary-
land to the conveyance by George Peter and Laura M.
Peter, his wife, to the Vestry of Silver Spring Parish, in
Montgomery county, of a certain lot of land in the town
of Kensington in said county, and to the holding of said
lot by the said Vestry of Silver Spring Parish, in Mont-
gomery county,. in fee-simple, with full power to dispose

if no same,

Which was read a second time and ordered to be en-

grossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Burgess

and Commissioners of Boonsboro, Washington county,

State of Maryland, to borrow money on the credit of said

town for the purpose of constructing, or purchasing and

operating water works in or near said town, and to issue

bonds for the payment of the cost of the same, and to

levy a tax on the assessable property of said town to redeem

said bonds, and to pay the interest thereon. "

grossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal Act of 1896,
chapter 193, and to authorize the County Commissioners

of Kent county to provide for the building of a public

school house in Chestertown, and to build the same, and
to issue bonds to pay for the same, and to levy an annual
sum to pay such bonds and the interest thereon as they
mature, and for other purposes. "

grossed for a third time.

House bill entitled "An Act to give sanction of the
Legislature to the gifts, devises and bequests to divers
charitable and religious institutions named in the last
will and testament of Dodaise Dode, late of Baltimore
