Mr. Knott, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably,

Senate hill No. 116, entitled "An Act to amend section
1, of chapter 368, of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1898, entitled an Act to incorporate the
Old Line Real Estate and Trust Company of Baltimore
city, and to repeal sections 2, 3, 4, 6, 11, 12 and 13, of
said chapter, and to re-enact certain of those sections
with amendments, and to add certain additional sections
to said chapter, granting additional powers, and to be
known as 'Sections 6 A, 6 B, 6 C, 10 A and 10 B. ' "

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Norris, from the Committee on Hygiene, reported
favorably, with proposed amendment,

House bill entitled "An Act to regulate the practice
of Pharmacy in the State of Maryland. "
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out all after "a bill" and. substitute in lieu
thereof, the following:

"An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments, sec-
tions 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 45, 46, 48, 52 and 61, of Article
43, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled 'Health'
sub-title 'Practitioners of Medicine, ' to repeal altogether
sections 49, 51 and 62 of said Article, and to add addi-
tional sections thereto, to be designated as sections 40 A,
61 A and 64. "

"Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, that sections 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 45, 46, 48, " 52
and 61, of Article 43, of the Code of Public General Laws,
entitled 'Health, ' sub-title 'Practitioners of Medicine' be,
and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments; that sections 49, 51 and 62 of said Article
be, and the same are hereby repealed altogether, and
that new sections be, and the same are hereby added to
said Article, to be designated respectively, -section 40 A,
to follow section 40, section 61 A, to follow section 61;
and section 64. to follow section 63, and to read as fol-
lows: "

38. "All persons now practicing medicine and surgery,
or who shall hereafter begin to practice medicine and
surgery, in any of their departments, except dentistry, in
the State of Maryland, shall possess the qualifications re-
quired by the sab-title of this article. "
