land against any change in the existing law for the due
observance of Sunday.

Mr. Scrimger presented a memorial from The Banneker
Normal, Industrial and Agricultural Institute of Balti-
more city, asking for $700.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.

Mr. Norris, of Kent, presented the petition of Horace
L. Brice and others of Kent county, against purse net
fishing in Chesapeake Bay.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.

Mr. Satterfield presented a petition from 1, 000 citi-
zens, more or less, of Caroline county, for passage of
general local option law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Kendall presented the petition of H. R. Strong
and others praying for the continuance of the purse net
law for said county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.

Mr. Mitchell presented the petition of E. N. Wood-
house for a pension.

The Speaker presented the petition of George B. Mc-
Clellan and others against any change in the Sunday
law.
