The Journal of the 20th inst, was read and approved.
PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.
Mr. Bramble, (by request), presented the petition of
Charles M. Ness for Baptist Young People's Union of
Maryland and other societies asking for a joint hearing
to said associations in opposition to the Sanford bill.
Mr. Sanford moved that the use of the hall of the
House of Delegates be granted to said associations and
others for the purpose of discussing the proposed laws.
Which motion was adopted.
Mr. Collins presented the petition of Wm. S. Merrick,
H. E. Mulliken and 54 other citizens of Talbot county
