The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:
Senate bill entitled "An Act to add four additional
sections to Article 4, of the Public Local Laws, entitled
'City of Baltimore, ' sub-title 'Miscellaneous Laws, ' as the
same was enacted by chapter 123, of the Acts of 1898, to
follow section 604, and be designated as 'Sections 604'A,
. 604 B, 604 C and 604 D, ' respectively, providing for a
clerk to the grand juries of said city, defining his duties
and imposing penalty for the violation thereof. '"
Which was read a first time and referred to the Balti-
more city delegation.
Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal chapter 68, of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed
at the January session in the year 1896, entitled 'An Act
to repeal chapter 74, of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, passed at the January session in the
year 1892, entitled 'An Act to add an additional section
to Article 11, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title 'Frederick County, ' sub-title 'Justices of the
Peace and Constables, ' to be known as 'Section 289 A, '
creating a police justice of the peace for election district
No. 2, in Frederick county, and to re-enact the said sec-
tion 289 A, as adopted by said Act of 1892, chapter 74,
with amendments. ' "
Which was read a first time and referred to the Fred-
erick county delegation.
