Which was read a first time and referred to the Mont-
gomery county delegation.

Senate bill No. 110, entitled "An Act to repeal and re-
enact with amendments, section 6, of Article 72, of the
Code of Public General Laws, title 'Oysters, ' as the same
was re-enacted by chapter 380, of the Acts of 1894, and
by chapter 117, of the Acts of 1898. "

Which was read a first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Chesapeake Bay and Its Tributaries.

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Mr. Latrobe, from Committee on Ways and Means, re-
ported favorably, with amendment,

House bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Board of
County School Commissioners of Harford county to es-
tablish an Academic Department in Jarrettsville public
school in Harford county. "

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Add to the bill the words "and to provide for an an-
nual appropriation by the State for the support thereof. "

Which was read a first time.

Also, favorably, with proposed amendment,

House bill entitled "An Act to provide for the proper
burial of any indigent soldier, sailor or marine who shall
have served in the Army or Navy of the United States
in any war in which he has been engaged, and honorably
discharged therefrom, and who shall hereafter die within
this State. "

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In section 2, after the word "of" add section 3, to read
as follows:

"Be it enacted, that the sum total expended in any one
year for the burial of any indigent soldiers, sailors and
marines, shall not exceed $300. "

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 124, of
Article 81. of the Code of Public General Laws, Volume
2, as the same was repealed and re-enacted by chapter
