PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.

Mr. Wolfinger presented the petition of Rev. Victor
Miller and 100 other citizens, protesting against any
change in the present Sunday law.

ORDERS.

On motion of Mr. Gately, it was

Ordered, That the Judiciary Committee be excused
from to-day's session on account of public hearing.
Also,

Ordered, That Mr. Latrobe be excused from to-day's
session on account of death in the family.

Mr. Garner submitted the following order:

Ordered, That all minor employees appointed by or-
ganization Committee and Speaker of the House of Dele-
gates, receive twenty-five dollars worth of stationery
and ten dollars worth of postage stamps, omitting those
having received the same.

Which was read, considered and ruled out of order by
the Speaker.

On motion of Mr. Bramble, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Brown, of Baltimore city, and Mr.
Mencke be excused from to-day's session.

On motion of Mr. Johnson, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Real be excused from to-day's ses-
sion on account of important business.

On motion of Mr. Biggs, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Long be excused from attendance
at to-day's session on account of business.

On motion of Mr. Hanson, it was

Ordered, That Mr. Wolf e be excused from to-day's
session on account of important business.

On motion of Mr. Garner, it was

Ordered, That Mr. King be excused on account of sick-
ness in his family.

On motion of Mr. Sandman, it was

Ordered, That Messrs. Choate and Jeffers be excused
from this day's session on account of important business.
