to repeal and re-enact, as amended, section 32, of Article
27, of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
title "Crimes and Punishments, " sub-title "Counterfeiting
and Forgery. "

Referred to the Judiciary Committee, to be hereafter
appointed.

The hour of 12 o'clock M., having arrived, being the
time agreed upon by concurrent action of the two
Houses, the House of Delegates preceded by their Ser-
geant-at-Arms and escorted by Messrs. Brewington and
Dennis, committee on the part of the Senate, proceeded
to the Senate Chamber to participate in the inauguration
of His Excellency, Hon. John Walter Smith.

At 12. 25, P. M., the members of the House of Dele-
gates returned to the Hall of the House of Delegates
and resumed business.

The Speaker announced the following appointments:
Secretary to Speaker—M. Bennett Walker.
Messenger to Speaker—Charles G. Dole.

The Speaker, as Chairman of the Committee on Or-
ganization, submitted the following

REPORT:

The Committee on Organization respectfully report the
following-named persons for the places set opposite their
name, « as the officers of the House for the present ses-
sion:

The Committee on Organization, appointed to desig-
nate the officers and employees of the House for the
present session, with the compensation thereof, respect-
fully report as follows:

We have designated the following persons for the po-
sitions set opposite their names and the compensation to
be paid them:

John E. Henry, of Dorchester, Postmaster.
Wm. V. Waters, of St. Mary's, Asst. Postmaster.
Chas. Tankersley, of the 1st district of Baltimore city,
Engrossing Clerk.
