PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.

Mr. Collins presented a petition from Wm. J. Jackson,
Jas. E. Fairbanks, Jas. L. Duncan and other citizens of
Tilghman's Island, Talbot county, praying for a law to
permit citizens of Talbot and Dorchester counties to set
wire nets in any depth of water in the Choptank river,
and licensing the same at 25 cts. per foot as to depth.

Which was read, and referred to the Dorchester and
Talbot county delegations.

Mr. Dunn presented the petition of St. Agnes Hospital
asking for an appropriation.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Ways and Means.

Mr. Latrobe presented the memorial of the Institute of
Mission Helpers of Baltimore city, asking for an appro-
priation.

Also,

The memorial of Nursery and Childs Hospital of Bal-
timore city, asking for an appropriation.

Also,

The memorial of the managers of the Home of the
Friendless of Baltimore city, asking, for an appropria-
tion.

All of which were severally read, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
