the Cumberland Savings Bank, so as to authorize said
bank to engage and conduct a general banking business. "

AMENDMENT PROPOSED
By Committee on Corporations:

Amend by striking out the whole of "section 3, " and
substituting the following:

"Section 3. And be it further enacted, That the stock-
holders of said Cumberland Savings Bank shall be liable
to the amount of their respective share or shares of stock
in said bank for all its debts and liabilities upon note,
bill or otherwise.

"Section 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act
shall take effect from the date of its passage. "
