Public General Laws, title 'Revenue and Taxes, ' sub-title
'Rate and Items of State Tax, ' as said section was amend-
ed by the Acts of 1898, chapter 220. "

Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays. "

Also,

House bill entitled "An Act to encourage the develop-
ment of manufacturers and manufacturing industries in
Hagerstown and in other parts of Washington county,
and to provide for the exemption of certain manufactur-
ing establishments from municipal and county taxation. "

Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas and
nays. "

Also,

House bill entitled "An Act to prohibit the sale of in-
toxicating liquors at Ruxton Station, Baltimore county,
Maryland, or within a radius of a mile thereof. "

Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays. "

Also,

House bill entitled "An Act to amend the charter of
and to grant certain additional powers and privileges to
the Hagerstown and Frederick Railway Company, a cor-
poration duly incorporated under and in accordance with
the provisions of Article 23 of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland, so as to confer upon said railway
company the right and power to use electricity as a mo-
tive power instead of steam, to charge such compensation
for hauling passengers, parcels, packages and freight as
the Board of Directors may from time to time determine,
and to borrow money, issue bonds and secure the pay-
ment of the same. "

House bill entitled "An Act to refund to Abraham Cor-
bett, of Washington county, a sum of money erroneously
paid by him into the treasury of the State. "
