Strike out all after the words "a bill" and insert in
lieu thereof the following:

"Entitled An Act to authorize the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore to regulate the exercise by the
Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company of Balti-
more city, and the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone
Company, of the rights and privileges granted to said
companies by Ordinance No. 41, approved May 9th, 1889.

"Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more is hereby authorized to regulate from time to time,
by ordinance or ordinances, the exercise by the Chesa-
peake and Potomac Telephone Company of Baltimore
city and the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Com-
pany, of the rights and privileges granted by Ordinance
