AMENDMENT PROPOSED
By Committee:

Amend section 1 of the bill by adding at the end there-
of the following:

"Provided, that said corporation shall not lay its pipes
or conduits, or erect its poles, or string its wires along
the public roads of Frederick county without first obtain-
ing the consent of the County Commissioners of Fred-
erick county, nor shall said corporation establish a plant
for the manufacture of gas or electricity in any of the
incorporated towns of Frederick county outside of Fred-
erick city, without first obtaining the consent of the cor-
porate authorities of said town, or if the town be not in-
corporated, without first obtaining the consent of the
said County Commissioners of Frederick county. "

Mr. Norris, of Carroll, from Committee on Hygiene,
reported unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, section 11, of Article 32, of the Public
General Laws of Maryland, titled 'Dentistry, ' and to re-
enact the same with amendments. "

Which unfavorable report was adopted.

Also favorably,

Senate bill No. 164, entitled "An Act to regulate the
practice of medicine and surgery, to create State boards
of medical examiners, and to regulate the fees and emol-
uments thereof, to prevent the practice of medicine and
surgery by unauthorized persons and to provide for the
trial and punishment of violators of the provisions of
this Act by a fine or imprisonment, or both, and to re-
peal and re-enact with additions and amendments, sec-
tions 39, 40, 41, 45, 49, 53, 56, 58 and 59, of Article 43, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title 'Health, ' sub-title
'Practitioners of Medicine, ' and to repeal all Iaws or parts
of laws in conflict or inconsistent with this Act, and to
add additional sections thereto, to be designated as 'Sec-
tions 39, 40, 41, 45, 49, 53, 56, 58 and 59. '"
