House bill entitled "An Act to amend the charter of
the Susquehanna Power and Paper Company of Harford
county, a corporation organized under the Public Gen-
eral Laws of the State of Maryland, to enlarge its
powers, and to change the corporate name thereof by
omitting therefrom the words 'of Harford County. '"

Endorsed: ''Amended, read the third time and passed
by yeas and nays. "
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Strike out all of section 3, after the word "of" on page
5, in line 3, and insert in lieu thereof the following words:
"At least four feet above the crest of the present main dam
of the said Susquehanna Power and Paper Company,
and as much more as may be required to make the crest
of said main dam level with an elevation forty-two feet
mean tide to be established from the bench mark of the
Columbia and Port Deposit Railway on the southwest
abutment of the county bridge at Conowingo. "

Amend by adding at the end of section 4 the follow-
ing:

" Provided, however, that said corporation shall, in all
respects, be subject to the provisions of chapter 123 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of 1898, and all ordi-
nances passed by the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more, in conformity therewith, and shall be subject to
the control, in every respect, to the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore in so far as its operations may be
carried on in the city of Baltimore, and nothing herein
contained shall be construed to the contrary.
