1410 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 27

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal arid re-enact
with amendments, chapter 278, of the Acts of 1896, en-
titled 'An Act to confirm and amend the charter of the
Cherry Hill, Elkton and Chesapeake City Electric Rail-
way Company, of Cecil county. "

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Roberts, from Committee on Chesapeake Bay and
Its Tributaries, reported favorably,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to prohibit the taking
and catching of oysters for sale in certain waters of Cal-
vert county. "

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Knott, from Committee on Corporations, reported,
without recommendation, with amendments,

House bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the Mary-
land Sanitary Refrigerating, Ventilating and Heating-
Company. "

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Insert in section 5 on line 5 of the bill after the word
"matters" the following words, "incident to its business
as aforesaid. "

And on line 17 of the same section, after the word "re-
fuse" insert the following words, "incident to its business
as aforesaid. "

And at the end of said section 5 add the following
words: "Provided that nothing in this Act contained
shall authorize the. said corporation to construct or oper-
ate either a general or private sewerage or illuminating
gas business in the city of Baltimore. "

Which was read a first time.

Also, favorably, with proposed amendments,

House bill entitled "An Act to incorporate 'The Hag-
erstown Fidelity Company. "

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In section 2, line 12, strike out the word "five" and
substitute the word "six. "

And on line 3, of said section 2, strike out the word
"two hundred and fifty" and substitute the words "three
hundred. "
