AMENDMENT PROPOSED
By Committee on Ways and Means:

Amend by striking out all after the word "enacted" in
section 4, ?md adding after said word "enacted" the fol-
lowing: -The provisions of this bill shall only be appli-
cable to Baltimore city and Baltimore county.

Which amendment was adopted, and

The bill, as amended, was read a second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the Ocean
City Steel Pier, Railway and Amusement Company. "

Which was read a second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

House bill entitled "An Act to refund to Clinton A.
Wright, trustee of the Avon Bottling Company of Balti-
more city, Frank Sandkuhler, Louisa Schultz, administra-
trix of Leopold Schultz, deceased, Prank A. Wornitz and
Nathan Weiller, copartners, trading as Wornitz and Com-
pany, W. J. Wickham and B. Bornheim, copartners, trad-
ing as the Bayside Bottling Company of Baltimore city,
the amount of money paid respectively by them to the
Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of Baltimore city
for licenses for the years 1890 and 1891, in excess of the
amounts with which they were properly chargeable and
which respective amounts have been paid by said clerk
to the State. "

Which was read a second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

ORDER OF THE DAY.

The House considered the Order of the Day, being

House bill entitled "An Act to add two additional sec-
tions to Article 27 of the Code of Public General Laws,
entitled 'Crimes and Punishments, ' to provide when
wages are to be paid and to be arranged under the new
sub-title 'Payment of Wages, ' and to come in after sec-
tion 149 of said Article, and to be known as 'Sections 149
A and 149 B ' "
