BILLS—SECOND READING.

Mr. Lehmayer, from the Judiciary Committee, reported
favorably,

Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 296, of
Article 23, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
'Corporations, ' sub-title 'Process, ' as amended by the Act
of the General Assembly of Maryland, 1892, chapter 601,
and re-enact the same with amendments. "

Which was read a second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

Also,

House bill entitled "An Act to properly care for, ex-
hibit and preserve the battle flags carried by Maryland
regiments during the Civil War, 1861-1865. "

Mr. Walbach submitted the following amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Section 1, line 4, after the word "of, " strike out the
words "three citizens, " and insert in lieu thereof the
words "four citizens. "

Section 1, line 6, after the figure 5, insert the words:

"Two of said commissioners to be appointed to be se-
lected from two who fought with distinction on behalf of
the Union, and two to be selected from those who fought
with distinction on behalf of the South. "

Section 1, line 7, after the word "library. " strike oat
the first two words "or other. "

Section 2, line 19, after the word "who, " strike out the
word "have. "

Section 2, line 23, in the word "presentation, " strike
out after the second "r, " the three letters "v" "e" "r. "

Sec. 4, line 29, after the word "of" strike out the words
"three thousand" and insert in lieu thereof the words
"twenty-five hundred. "

All of which were severally considered and adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read a second time,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Lehmayer, from Committee on Judiciary, reported
