House bill entitled "An Act to repeal all existing laws
for Somerset county, relating to wild fowl and game,
birds and animals, and to enact the following in lieu
thereof for the better protection and preservation of the
same. "

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED,

Strike out all of "Section 10, " and insert in lieu there-
of the following:

And be it enacted, That it shall be unlawful to hunt
hares or pursue them with dogs between March 10th
and November 1st, in each and every year. Any person
violating this section shall be deemed guilty of a. mis-
demeanor and be subject to a fine of not less than $5 and
not more than $25 for each and every offense. "

Mr. Kendall, from Select Committee, reported favor-
ably, with proposed amendments,

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal Act of 1896, chap-
ter 193, and to authorize the County Commissioners of
Kent county to provide for the building of a public
school house in Chestertown and to build the same, and
to issue bonds to pay for the same, and to levy au annual
sum to pay such bonds and the interest thereon as they
mature, and for other purposes. "

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Amend title by striking out the words "and to build
the same" in line 3, after the word "Chestertown. "

Strike out the words "and for other purposes" in line
5, and insert in lieu the words "and to appoint a commis-
sion for building and equipping. "

Sec. 1. Strike out in line 3 the word "fifteen, " and in-
sert in lieu thereof the word "twenty. "

Amend section 4 by striking out all after the figure
"4, " and substituting the following:

"And be it enacted, That the proceeds of the sale of
