& every person or persons whatsoever any Debt or Debts summe or sumes of money
goods wares or merchandizes or any manner of estate or effects that now is or Shall
hereafter be due & payable to my Self and Company from any person or persons in
Virginia or Maryland and perticularly for a Cargo of goods imported into the Said
County of Somersett in or about September 1685 in the Ketch freindship Andrew
Elliot Master or any other waies whatsoever Consigned to mr: Archibold Eriskine
for accot: of my Selfe & Company And upon denyall or any other Just Cause process at
Law to take & effectually to persue or Complainte to make & exhibite & reparacon or
redress to pray & require before by or from any Lord Justices or other Lawfull authority
and upon receipt of any Such Debt Sume of money or other estate whatsoever due
as as aforesaid acquittances and discharges for my Self & Company & in my name to
make Seale & deliver giving & by these presents granting to my Said attorney my whole
& full power Strength and authority to doe say peforme & finih all every such
other Act & acts device & devices whatsoever in the law needfull to be done Concerning
the premisses in as full & ample manner as I might or Coulld doe if personaly present
Attorneys one or more under him my Said attorney with like power to make Substitute
& at pleasure to revoke and I doe hereby Covenant to Ratifie & Confirme all & whatsoever
my said attorney or his substitute Shall Lawfully doe or Cause to be done Concerning y
premisses by vertue of these presents In wittnes whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand
and Seale the thirteenth day of Aprill one thousand six hundred & Eighty seaven & in the
third year of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord King James the Second ovr: great Brittaine &c
