Whereas yesterday Richard Carey was ordered to produce an Authentike Certificate under Owen
Mackra hand (before he Shoulld be released froin behaviour & y peace that the said Owen was satisfied
the said Richard produces this writing following sch: is read vizt: Maryland Ss To the worpll:
his Lopps: Justices for Somerset County /
The humble peticon of Richard Carey
Sheweth That yor: worpss: Peticr: & his neighbour Owen Macrah are fully agreed and have

Walter Taylor deft: appeares in person
as y admr: of David Linsey
Whereas Edmund Beauchamp made appeare there was due to him from David
Linsey deseased Sixe hundred & eleaven pounds of tobacco humbly desired ordr: for the same of
Walter Taylor who married the relict & executrix of the Said David the said Walter Taylor
appearing acknowledge Judgemt: before the Cort: for the Same & whereupon This Cort: ordrs: that
Walter Taylor pay unto Edmund Beauchamp the aforesaid Sume of Six hundred & eleaven
pounds of tobacco or to his assignes ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
The Same Day Commrs: as afore
This day John Taylor attorney at Law having Contrary to rules of Cort: used absurd Language
before the Justices in Cort: Sitting Doe order That all the Attorneys belonging to this Cort: by
this Cort: to be permitted Come & take the usuall oath of an attorney forth with ~ ~
Mr: James Sangster appoints & is permitted attorney for this Cort:
Mr: Thomas Poole appeares & is permitted attorney for this Cort:
Mr: Edward Jones appeares & is permitted attorney for this Cort:
Me: John Taylor appeares & whereas this day some absurd words Contrary to rules of Cort:
proseeded from the mouth of the Said John Taylor upon his Submission before this Cort: ordrd:
that the Said John Taylor be permitted attorney for this Cort: the oath wch: the Said
Attorneys Mr: James Sangster: mr: Thomas Poole: mr: Edward Jones: & mr: John Taylor
that was administred unto them Severally by this Cort: this Day being the eleaventh
day of January Annoq Dom: 1687 is as followeth (vizt) wch: was taken on y holy Evangelist
You Shall Swear that you Shall doe noe falshood nor Consent to any to be done in this Cort:
& if you knowe of any to be done you Shall give notice thereof to the Justices of the Cort:
that it may be reformed: you Shall delay no man for Luve or mallice you Shall
encrease no fees but be Contented with the fees of an Attorney to bee Limitted & appointed
by this Cort: all Such processes you Shall Sue out of this Court Shall be Sealed with the
Seale thereof & further you Shall use & demeane yor: Selfe in y office of an attorney
in this Court according to yor: best Skill & knowledge; Soe helpe you God /
And further ordered that an attorneys fee in any one Cause Depending Shall be allowed one hundred
pounds of tobacco to be leavied by way of execucon ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
