Setting for y County of Som^rSett Came y within named Elizabeth Barnebe & Did acknowledge to have
received y within mentioned goods of Charles Hall: /. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Knowe all men by these presents y^t I: Anne Avery of y Citty of Bristoll Widdowe relict & administratrix
with y last will Annexed of all & Singular the goods & Chattells rights & Creditts which were of Emanuall
Avery late of y Citty aforesaid marriner Deceased have made ordained Constituted authorized and
appointed & by these presents in my place & Stead Doe putt Thomas Whittop of y Said Citty - -
Marriner my true & lawfull attorney for mee and in my name & to y use of y last will aforesaid to
Demand & receive of James Jones of Maryland all & every Debts Dues Summe & Summes of money goods
wares & merchantdizes which were Due oweing or belonging to y Said Emannuell Avery in his Life time
or which are Due oweing or belonging to mee as administratrix of y said Emanuell Avery or oth^rwise
howsoever & if occassion require to Sue arrest attatch implead imprison & prosecute said James
Jones & to use all Lawfull waies & meanes for y obtaining & recovery of y premisses according to y Law
usage & Custome of y Country & upon receipt thereof accquittances & Lawfull dischardges for mee &
in my name to make give seale & Deliver & one or more attorney or attorneys in y premisses to make
& Substitute & y Same againe att his will & pleasure to revoke giveing & by these presants grannting
to my Said attorney my good right full power & lawfull authority to Doe & performe all & whatsoever
Shall bee requesite to bee done in y premisses ratifyeing alloweing & holding firme & Stable all &
whatsoever my Said attorney Shall Lawfully Doe or cause to bee Done in y premisses to bee as good and
effectuall in y law to all intents & purposes as if I had done y Same in my owne person In wittness whereof
I have hereunto sett my hand & Seale Dated this one & twentieth Day of august in y eight & twentieth
yeare of y reigne of o^r: Soveraigne Lord Charles y Second by y grace of God King of England A^o:Do^m: 1676
