peace for this County in a plea of Debt &c. ; / ;
And whereupon the said Thomas by his Attorney Henry Smith
saith That he the said James became Indebted unto him the
said Thomas or his order for the proper accot: and behoofe of
Tymothy Parker & Compa: owners of the Ship Unicorne of
Bristoll theire heires executors: admrs: or assignes or either
of them the Just quantity of one thousand pounds of good
Sound marchantable tobacco in Caske the which quantity
of one Thousand pounds of Tobacco the Sd: James Ingaged
to pay or Cause to be paid at one intire payment upon
his the said James plantacon where he then Lived at or
upon all Demands after the 10th: day of october next ensueing
the Date of A Certaine writing here in Cort: produced signed
with the hand and Sealed with the Seale of him the sd: James
bearing Date the 20th: Day of June 1673 more plainely
will appeare, And for the performance thereof bindes
himselfe his heires executors: admrs: & assignes but he
the said James his promise Little regarding fraudulently
intending Denyeth and Still Doth to pay the said 1000lb of tob:
The plt: saith he is Damnified & hath Dammadge to the vallue
of 2000lb: of Tobacco and thereupon bringes his Suite &c
pro quer Henry Smith
This bill bindeth me James Jones of Wiccocomoco in
Sommersett County in the Province of Maryland gent:
