sound marchantable tobacco in Caske as by A Certaine Instrument
(here in Cort: produced) signed with the hand & Sealed with the Seale
of him the said Cornelius bearing Date the 11th: Day of november
Annoq Domini 1673 will more plainely appeare wherein
the said Cornelius bindes himselfe his heires and admrs:
to pay the sd: 2000lb: of tob: in Caske to him the sd: Josias his
Certaine Attorney his executors: admrs: or assignes but he
the said Cornelius his promise Little regarding denyeth &
still doth to pay the same The plt: saith he is Damnified
& hath Dammadge to the vallue of Three Thousand pounds
of Tobacco and thereupon brings his Suite &c ; / ;
Know All men by these presents That wee George Phebus
and Cornelius Johnson both of Sommersett County in the
Province of Maryland Doe binde our Selves our heires
executors: admrs: Jointly & severally in the full & Just
quantity of Two Thousand pounds of good sound
marchantable tobacco in Caske to be paid in some
Convenient place in Sommersett County (Pocotonorton
excepted) at or upon the 10th: day of october which shall
be in the year 1674 unto Josias Seaward of y same
County and Province aforesaid or his Certaine Attorny
his executors: admrs: or Assignes in the whole and for
the whole In wittnes whereof wee have hereunto Sett
or: hands & fixed out Seales & Dated this 11th: Day of
november 1673 ; / ; George Pebus And Seale
