This Indenture made the 17th: day of november in
the yeare of our Lord God One Thousand six hundred
seaventy and Three Betweene George Phebus in the
County of Sommersett Cooper on the one part And
ffrancis Johnson on the same County on the other
part Wittnesseth that the sd: ffrancis Johnson doth
binde himselfe an Apprentice unto George Phebus
for the tearme of three yeares next ensueing the
Date hereof and with him after the manner of An
Apprentice to Learne the said art and Trade of A
Cooper and that he faythfully obey his Said master in
any Lawfull occasion that he Shall Sett him about except
planting. And that the said George Phebus Doe Learne
him his said Art and Trade of A Cooper to the best of
his knowledge and withall finde him meate drinke Cloth
washing and Lodging and all things necessary for an appren
tice The tearme of his said Apprentiship in wittnes whereof
The parties above named have Sett theire hands the day
and yeare above written ; / ; George Phebus
