Ordered that the Sherriffe take into his Custody John Chancellor
Abigall Arrington John Beauley and Elizabeth Wattson and
them Safely keepe to answer to theire Severall Inditements
And ffurther Ordered that ye Sherriffe Impannell in the
Lord Proprietarys Sute A petty Jury of twelve honest men
The Sherriffe brings his prissoners to the Barr
vizt John Chancellor Abigall Arrington John Beauley &
Elizabeth the wife of Thomas Wattson;
The Inditement read agst: John Chancellor And
Abigall Arrington vizt
John Chancellor and Abigall Arrington you are here indicted
by the name of John Chancellor & Abigall Arrington not
haveing the feare of god before yor: eyes hath Committed for:
nicacon Against the good Lawes of ye Rt: honr:ble the
Lord Proprietary whereof you Stand here Charged;
Guilty or not Guilty they replyed not guilty
The Cort: demanded whome they woulld be tryed
by they made answer by god and y Contry
The Indictemente read against John Beauley
vizt
John Beauley of ye County of Sommersett plantor not
haveing the feare of god before thine eyes hath Committed
fornicacon with Elizabeth ye wife of Thomas Wattson
of Chaptanck against the good Lawes of y Rt: honr:ble
the Lord Proprietary whereof you Stand here Charged
Guilty or not guilty ye sd: John Beauley
answered not guilty
The Cort: Demanded whome he woulld be tryed by
