by his absolute promise Ingage to pay the same upon the
Accompt of Major Generall Bennetts Letter which is
Two Thousand Two hundred pounds of tobacco Likewise
received recd: from me Randall Revell by the order of
the said Tho: Poole Six hundred foote of planke at one
pound of tobacco pr foote Likewise he Did Acknowledge
himselfe to owe and Stand Indebted unto the said Randall
Revell the Just and full summe of 600lb: of tobacco &
Caske to be paid Convenient in Sommerset County
To the said Randall Revell himselfe or either of
his Lawfull attorney or Attorneyes executors: admrs:
or assignes or any or either of them to which paymt:
well and truly to be made he Did Ingage by promise
notwithstanding which the said Thomas Poole the said
summe of Two Thousand eight hundred pounds of tob:
According to the tennor of the said promise hath not payd
though often thereunto required but the same to pay
doth altogether refuse and deny to the Damage of the said
Randall Revell the summe of three thousand pounds of
tobacco and thereupon he brings his Sute ~ ~ ~ ~
This ffoll Letter was read, vizt
Sr: I had A purpose Last yeare to have Seene you but coulld
not find time for A bay voyadge untill it was left to Late
I purpose this yeare God willing to Come that way But
whether I Doe or noe Shall Desire you to see the rent of
my Land paid both for Wiccocomoco and Pocomoke I Cleared
all with the Lt: Generall March 16th: 1668 and took his
rect: for 19£: Sterl: in full to that time; Thomas Poole
