171 the 13th: day of June in the XXXiXth: year of the Dominion
of the Rt: honble: Caecilius And in the year of our
Lord God one thousand Six hundred seaventy one ; / ;

Whereas William Johnson of Sommersett County in the province
of Maryland Taylor hath sold unto Thomas Poole of the
County and Province aforesaid plantor one Cowe with her
Increase the said Cowe being Commonly called by the name
of Periwig marked as ffoll vizt three Slitts on the right ear;
Cropt on the left year and a hole in the said ear the hole
being Slitt right out ; / ; ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Know all men by these presents that I the said William
Johnson Doe Constitute ordaine and appointe my Loving
ffrind Thomas Poole aforesaid to be my true & Lawfull
Attorney and Deputy for me and in my name but to his
proper use and behoofe to aske demand require recover &
receive by order of Lawe or otherwise the said Cowe
with her Increase; And in my name to Sue pSue
arreast Implead or Imprison any person or persons who
hath the said Cowe or any of the Increase in their
possession and in my name to implore Lawe & obtaine
ayde favour Justice Judgement & execucon and if
he Shall See fitt from prison or execucon to deliver
& in my name to appeare in all Cort: & places my person
to represent & Acquittances or other Lawfull dischardge or
dischardges in my name to signe Seale and deliver And to
doe
