Lawrence J. Hogan, Prince George's County attorney, advertising
and public relations executive, and former FBI agent.

Jack Marshall Stark, Rockville attorney and former assistant U. S.
Attorney for the District of Columbia.

Paul A. Dorf, Baltimore attorney and State Senator, former chief
magistrate of the City's police courts.

Dr. Eugene Meyer, III, professor of psychiatry and associate pro-
fessor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University.

Miss Anita R. Williams, member of the Board of Managers of Mont-
rose School for Girls.

Dr. Gilbert Ware, the Governor's program executive for Health,
Welfare and Human Relations.

Charles E. Moylan, Jr., State's Attorney for Baltimore City.

Judge Robert Hammerman, Judge for Juvenile Causes and a mem-
ber of the Baltimore Supreme Bench.

Donald Pomerleau, Commissioner of Baltimore City Police.

Edwin Tully, Special Agent in Charge of the Baltimore Office of
the FBI.

Arnold Hopkins of the Office of Law Enforcement and Assistance,
Washington, D. C., will serve as an adviser to the commission.

The Governor also designated the following State officials as ad-

visory members: Robert J. Lally, Superintendent of State Police;
Joseph G. Cannon, Commissioner of Correction; Paul C. Wolman,
Director of Parole and Probation; Richard A. Batterton, Director of
Juvenile Services; Major General George M. Gelston, State Adjutant
General.

The new commission replaces the Governor's Commission on Crime
and Delinquency, which Governor Tawes created in August, 1966, but
which never became fully operational. Many of its members moved
on to other assignments and duties.

STATE HOUSE, ANNAPOLIS

July 11, 1967

I congratulate the people of Maryland for causing this convention
to assemble and for sending to it this distinguished and very well
qualified delegation.
