Admⁿ af^d was of the Value of three hundred and Seventy four pounds Ster-
ling money. And the Said Mary further Saith that the Said W^m Parker hath
not Taken able and Sufficient Security from the Said Diana Ford for the due
Admⁿ of the Estate of the Said John Fuid According to Law as by the Duty
of his office af^d he Ought to have done, and this She is ready to Verifye Where-
fore She prays Judgment and her Debt af^d together with her Damages by
Occasion Detaining the Same Debt to her to be Adjudged etc.

And the Said Dorothy protesting that the personal Estate of John Ford
in the Replication af^d mentioned Amounted to no more than three hundred
and fifteen Pounds Currant money of Maryland and that the Severall Debts
due from and Owing by the Said John Ford and the Charge of his funerall
Amounted to Fifty Pounds like money which Debts and funerall Charges
were paid by the Said Diana Adm^nrx af^d and protesting that one third part
of the Residue of the Said personal Estate after the payment of the Debts
and funeral Charges of right did belong and appertain to the Said Diana
Ford in the Said Replication also mentioned as the Relict and Widow of the
Said John Ford And that the Residue of the personal Estate af^d Amounted to
One hundred and Seventy Six pounds thirteen Shillings and four pence like
money and no more, and Likewise protesting that the Said W^m Parker took
good and able Security of the Said Diana for the due Adm^rn of the Said
Estate of the Said John Ford And Likewise protesting the Action af^d is
brought by the means Instigation and procurement of a Certain John Bagby
who Intermarried with Mary the Daughter and only Representative of John
Ford in the Replication af^d mentioned for Rejoinder Saith That the Said
W^m Parker According to the Duty of his office the Seventeenth day of July
Anno Dom Seventeen hundred and Seven took the Bond or writeing obliga-
tory of the Said Diana Ford togeather with a Certain John Rose and Nicholas
Scarfe her Sureties in the penalty of four hundred Pounds Sterling with a
Condition thereunto Annexed for the due Adm" of the Good and Chatties
Rights and Creditts of the Said John Ford To witt at Calvert County af^d
which Same Diana John Rose an Nicholas Scarfe at the Time of of [sic] the
Execution of that Writeing were Seized in their Demesne of Severall Lands
and Tenements and possessed of diverse Goods and Chatties of the Value of
three hundred and Eighty pounds Sterling and more at Calvert County af^d
And the Said Dorothy Saith that after the Making the writeing af^a a Certain
John Bagby of Calvert County Planter intermarried with a Certain Mary
Ford the Daughter and only legall Representative of the Said John Ford
Viz^t the tenth day of November Anno Dom Seventeen hundred and fourteen
at Calvert County af^d and the Same John Bagby after the Espousalls between
him and the Said Mary had and Celebrated Viz^t the Sixth day of March Anno
Dom Seventeen hundred and fifteen at Calvert County af^d by his Certain
writt of Release which the Said Dorothy with the Seale of the Said John
