  XIII.


But shall not
extend to
Ambassadors,
&c. of the
Six Nations.



Duration.
such Indian, and the Fees arising due to the said Sheriff, on such Commitment,
shall be assessed in the Public Levy of this Province

    IV.  Provided, That nothing in this Act shall be deemed or construed to
hinder or restrain any Indian or Indians, belonging to any of the Six Nations,
from travelling or passing as Ambassadors or Messengers from any of the said
Six Nations, to the Governor, or Commander in Chief of this Province, for
the Time being; any Thing in this Act to the contrary notwithstanding.

    V.  This Act to continue for Three Years, and unto the End of the next
Session of Assembly, which shall happen after the Expiration of the said
Three Years.
                            Examined and Compared with the Original Act, REVERDY GHISELIN,
                                                                                                                    THOMAS BACON.

Farther continued 1760, ch. 5; and 1763, ch. 7, for 3 Years, &c.

    Laws were Enacted.

An Act for his Majesty's Service, and further Defence and Security of this Province.

    N.B. 
No Expedition having been undertaken by this Province, in Conjunction with the
neighbouring Counties, towards which a Sum of 25000 l. had been appropriated by the Act of
1756, ch. 5; This Act directs the several Sums following (Part of the said 25000 l.) to be applied
to the Purposes hereafter mentioned, viz.
