CHAP. VII.
An Act to enable the Justices of Baltimore County Court, to assess and levy on the 
    Taxable Inhabitants of St. George's Parish in that County, a Sum on Money
    for the Uses therein mentioned.  Lib. B.L.C.  fol. 490.
    f  Viz. 1200 l. Current Money at four equal Assessments, to be paid to the Order of the Rector,
Vestry and Church-wardens, and by them be applied towards the purchase of Three Acres
of Land, and building a new Church thereon; and the like Quantity of Land, and building a
Chapel of Ease thereon, &c.  Supplementary Acts are 1757, ch. 18; and 1758, ch. 2.

CHAP. VIII.
An act impowering the Justices of Charles County Court, to assess and levy a
    Quantity of Tobacco; and fr other Purposes therein mentioned.  Lib. B.L.C.
    fol. 491.
    Viz. 27000 lb Tobacco by two equal Assessments, on the Taxables of William and Mary
Parish, to be applied by the Rector, Vestry, &c. towards enlarging and repairing their
Parish Church.  This Act also impowered the said Rector, &c. to sell all the Swine and Neat
Cattle belonging to the Glebe of the said Parish, and to apply the Produce towards repairing the
Glebe, &c.

CHAP. IX.
An Act impowering the Justices of Prince-George's County, to levy on the Taxable
    Inhabitants of Queen-Anne Parish in the said County, Fifty Pounds Current
    Money, for the Uses therein mentioned.  Lib. B.L.C.  fol. 492.
    Viz. For Paling in their Chapel Yard, and building a House with a Fire-Place to accommodate
        the Minister and Parishioners in bad Weather.

CHAP. X.
An Act continuing an Act, entitled, An Act for the Gauge of Barrels for Pork,
    Beef, Pitch, Tar, Turpentine, and Tare of Barrels for Flour or Bread.  Lib.

CHAP. XI.
An Act for the further Enlargement of Baltimore-Town, in Baltimore County.
    Lib. B.L.C.  fol. 493.
    N.B.  This Act (pursuant to the Petition of the Inhabitants of the said County) impowered
the Commissioners of Baltimore-Town, to cause about 25 Acres of Land (on the North and East
Sides of that Part of Baltimore-Town, formerly called Jones's-Town) to be surveyed and laid out
into Lots and Streets, in such Manner as to them shall seem convenient; which being done,
the same is hereby declared to be Part of Baltimore-Town aforesaid, to all Intents and Purposes,
as fully and amply as if included originally therein, and have the same Immunities and Privileges
as the rest of the said Town, by any former Laws ought to have.  And Persons building or
improving on any of the said Lots, as by former Laws relating to the said Town is directed,
and purchasing the same from the Proprietor (with who they are left, by this Act, to agree,
otherwise to have no Title therein) shall have an absolute Estate of Inheritance in any Lot or
Lots so purchased and built on.

CHAP. XII.
An Additional Supplementary ACT to the Act, entitled, * An
    Act for laying out and Erecting a Town at a Place called
    Long-Point, on the West Side of North-East River in Cæcil
    County.  Lib. B.L.C.  fol. 494.

WHEREAS it is represented to this General Assembly, by the Commissioners
for Charles-Town in said County, and by the humble Petition
of the Inhabitants thereof, that many Regulations are yet
wanted that would much conduce to the Convenience and Advantage of the
Inhabitants, and further Settlement of said Town:  It is therefore humbly
prayed it may be Enacted;

    II.  And be it Enacted, by the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary, by and
with the Advice and Consent of his Lordship's Governor, and the Upper and Lower
Houses of Assembly, and the Authority of the same, That from and after the End
of this Session of Assembly, it shall and may be lawful for the Commissioners
for said Town for the Time being, or the major Part of them, to appoint
yearly, one of the Inhabitants, to serve as an Overseer for said Town; and
which Overseer, so appointed, shall be obliged to serve, on the Penalty of
