A Supplementary Act to an Act, entitled, f An Act for laying out and erecting a
    Town on the South side of the Eastern Branch of Patowmack River, in Prince
    George's County, near a Place called The Garrison-Landing.  Lib. B.L.C.
    fol. 291.
    N.B.  By this Act,  (1.)  On Petition of sundry Inhabitants of Prince George's County, Two
Years, from the End of this Session, is granted to any Persons, their Heirs or Assigns, who took
up any Lots in Bladensburgh, more than was given by the Original Act, to compleat their Buildings.
(2.)  The Takers-up of Lots, their Heirs or Assigns, on Building one good and substantial
Ware-house, which shall cover 400 square Feet of Ground, shall be invested with an
Estate in Fee-simple, in such Lot or Lots, although the same hath no Stone or Brick Chimneys.
(3.)  After the 10th November 1746, no Person inhabiting the Town aforesaid, shall keep or make
any Fire or Fires in any other than Brick or Stone Chimneys, under Penalty of 40 s. Currency
for each Offence; to be recovered before a single Magistrate, as in the case of small Debts, to be
paid tot he Majority of the Commissioners for the said Town, one Moiety for the use of the
said Town, the other to the Informer; which said Magistrate is impowered to determine the
same, and to commit the Offender to the Sheriff of the County, on Refusal or Non-Payment of
the Fine.  (4.)  As often as any of the Commissioners in the above recited Act mentioned shall
die, or remove out of the County, or refuse, neglect, or be otherwise incapacitated to act, &c.
then are the remaining Commissioners impowered and required forthwith to choose and appoint
one other fit Person to be a Commissioner in his Place; and so, toties quoties, as such Vacancy
shall happen:  Which Commissioners so chosen, &c. shall have all the Powers and Authorities for

putting the aforesaid Act in Execution, as any of the other Commissioners in the said Act named.
 
CHAP. XIV.
Passed 4th
June 1744.
An Act appointing Commissioners for dividing St. Mary's County into Four Parishes;
    and to erect that Part of
All-Faith, and King and Queen Parish, lying
    in Charles County, into a distinct Parish.  Lib. B.L.C.  fol. 292.
   
A Supplementary Act of 1745, ch. 4, appoints other Commissioners, to carry this Act into
Execution; the Commissioners appointed by this Act having neglected the same.
