Penalty on
Persons refusing
to act as
Visitors.
appointed as such, pursuant to the Directions hereof, that shall wilfull refuse 
or delay to take upon him the said Office, shall forfeit and pay for every
such Refusal or Delay, the Sum of Five Hundred Pounds of Tobacco, for
the Use of the School of that County where such Offence shall be committed;
to be recovered in his Lordship's Name, or at the Visitors Suit, before
the Justices of that County Court, by Bill, Plaint or Information, wherein
no Essoin, Protection or Wager of Law shall be allowed.

An Act for the Relief of Ann-Arundel County, and all Persons concerned in the
    Records thereof, heretofore Burnt.  Lib. 
LL. Nº4. fol. 606.
    N.B.  The Act of 1705, ch. 1, having been for some Time expired, several Persons by
Means of Infancy, Coverture, Absence, &c. has not got their Deeds recorded again, according
to the Directions of that Act, during its Continuance:  This Act impowered the Justices of
Ann-Arundel Court to act and proceed in all Matters therein mentioned, as if Commission for that
Purpose had issued to them, according to the said Act, &c.

    i  1719, ch. 18, hereby continued 'til the 25th December 1724.
    This Act was continued by 1724, ch. 21, §. 1, 'til the 25th December 1725, when it totally expired.
Hereby Sheriffs were restrained from taking or exacting more than one Execution Fee,
in any one Year, for Executing for Levies and Officers Fees:  But by the aforesaid Act of 1724,
ch. 21, the Sheriff's Fee for such Executions is intirely taken away.

Robert Johnson, of Ann-Arundel County, Ship Carpenter,

Robert Gordon, of the City of Annapolis, Merchant:
    As also for vesting and settling an Estate of Inheritance in Fee-simple, of and
    in a certain Sand Bank that intersects a Tenement of Land possessed by the said
   
Robert Gordon, and the Creek on the said Robert Gordon, and his Heirs and

This same Lot is settled on Horatio Samuel Middleton, and his Heirs, by 1753, ch. 25.
