Bounds of
North-Elk
Parish. |
An act for erecting a Parish on the North Side of Elk River
in Cæcil County.

From and after the 1st May
1706, all that Part of Cæcil County, lying on the North
Side of
Elk River, being bounded as followeth, viz.
Beginning at
Turkey-Point on the North Side of Elk
River aforesaid, and running with the said River to Smith's
Mill at the Head thereof; then East,
to the exterior Bounds of this Province, and with the
exterior Bounds of this Province to Susquehannah
River; thence with the East Side of the said River, and
the Bay of
Chesapeak to the
first Beginning, shall be constituted and erected into
a Parish, by the Name of North-Elk Parish;
and shall have, hold and enjoy all Privileges and Advantages
that are held and enjoyed by other
Parishes in this Province. |

BE it Enacted by the Queen's
most excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice
and Consent of her Majesty's Governor, Council, and Assembly of this Province,
and the Authority of the same, That the Act of Parliament made
at the Parliament begun and held at Westminster, the Nineteenth
Day of
March, in the First Year of the Reign of our late Sovereign
Lord, King
James, the First, entitled, An Act to restrain all Persons from
Marriage, until
their former Wives, and former Husbands be dead; and the several Penal
Acts
of Parliament held at Westminster, in the First Year of the Reign
of our late Sovereign
Lord and Lady, King William and Queen Mary, entitled, An
Act for
exempting their Majesty's Protestant Subjects, Dissenting from the Church
of England,
from the Penalties of certain Laws; together with the said last mentioned
Act of Parliament, exempting their Majesty's Protestant Subjects, Dissenting
from the Church of England, from the Penalties of the said Laws;
and every Article, Clause, Matter and Thing, in the said Acts contained,
shall be, and are in full Force, to all Intents and Purposes, within this
Province.

An Act declaring an Act, entitled, * An Act for suspending the
Prosecution of
any Priests of the Communion of the Church of Rome,
incurring the
Penalties of an Act of Assembly, entitled, An Act for
preventing the
Growth of Popery," by exercising their Function in a
private Family of
the Roman Communion, but in no other Case whatsoever,
to be in Force.
