The proceedings of yesterday were read and approved.
Mr. Longwell submitted the following order :
Ordered, That the Committee on Accounts he instructed
to pay to Rev. Messrs. Hammond, Henderson, Burke, and
Leech, one hundred dollars each, for officiating as Chaplains
to this Convention ;
Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Giddings,
The' vote by which the Report of the Committee upon the
Department of Labor and Agriculture was, on Tuesday, 10th
August, rejected,
Was reconsidered.
The question then recurring upon the passage of the
Report,
Mr. Kilbourn moved that the Report be opened, to enable
him to submit the following amendment:
