The Report of the Committee upon the Judiciary Depart-
ment, as amended,
Was then read a second time, and,
On motion of Mr. Carter,
Ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
On motion of Mr. Howard,
At 3 o'clock and 5 minutes P. M., the Convention took at,
recess until 8 o'clock this P. M.
EVENING SESSION, AUGUST 8, 1867.
The Convention met.

On motion of Mr. Carter,
The vote by which the Report of the Committee upon the
Judiciary Department was ordered to be engrossed for a third
reading,
Was reconsidered.
(By unanimous consent) Mr. Carter withdrew his motion,
to engross the Report for a third reading.
