Mr. Archer submitted the following amendment :
PART II—COURT OF APPEALS.
SECTION 14. The Court of Appeals shall consist of a Chief
Judge and four Associate Judges, and for their selection the
State shall be divided into five Judicial Districts, as follows :
Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester, Talbot, Caroline, Queen
Anne's and Kent Counties shall compose the First District;
Cecil, Harford, Baltimore and Carroll Counties shall com-
pose the Second District; Baltimore City shall compose the
Third District; Allegany, Washington, Frederick and
Montgomery Counties shall compose the Fourth. District;
and St. Mary's, Charles, Anne Arundel, Calvert, Prince
George's and Howard Counties shall compose the Fifth Dis-
trict; one of the Judges of the Court of Appeals shall be
elected from each of said Districts by the qualified voters
thereof; and the salary of each Judge shall be ——.
