So the motion submitted by Mr. Gill;
Did not prevail.
The question again recurring upon the amendment sub-
mitted by Mr. Carter ;
It was adopted;
And the blank was filled with the words '' three thous-
and."
The section as amended,
Was then read.
Pending the reading of the 9th Section,
Mr. Nelson submitted the following amendment :
9th Section, line 3, strike out the words "one year," and
insert " two years,"
Winch, was adopted.
The section as amended was then read ;
The report, as amended, was then read a second time and
orderered to be engrossed for a third reading.
On motion of Mr. Barnes (by unanimous consent),
Leave of absence was granted Mr. Peters from the sessions
of the Convention for three days.
Mr. Rodgers (by unanimous consent), asked and was
granted leaveof absence from the sesssons of the Convention
until Monday next.
On motion of Mr. Wethered,
At 2 3/4 o'clock, P. M., the Convention adjourned.
