The Convention met.
Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Henderson.
Present at the call of the roll the following members :

Barry, Bateman, Bell, Bennett, Brewer, of Montgomery,
Brown, Buchanan, Chambers, Cosgrove, Cover, Cunning,
ham, Denson, Dent, Devries, Dobbin, Dorsey, Duvall, Emack,
Farnandis, Ferry, Flaherty, Ford, Franck, Franklin, Galt,
Garey, George, Giddings, Gill, Goldsborough, of Dorchester,
Goldsborough, of Talbot, Groome, Hall, Hammond, Hay-
den, Henderson, Hoblitzell, Hodson, Horsey, of Frederick,

Upon the call of the roll,
On motion of Mr. Barnes,
The Doorkeepers were ordered to notify the absent mem-
bers now in the city to give their attendance.
After an absence of fifteen minutes the Doorkeepers re-
turned and reported that they had notified all the absent
members in the city, and that they were now in attendance
On motion of Mr. Barnes,
All further proceedings under the call were dispensed
with.
The proceedings of yesterday were read and approved.
The President laid before the Convention the Report of
the Clerk to Commissioners of Caroline County, showing
amount paid State's Attorneys, Judges of the Orphan's
Court and Clerk to the Circuit Court in said county ;
Which were read
Also, the following report oi said Clerk, showing amount
paid Registers of voters in said county ;
