The Convention met.
Prayer by Rev. Mr. Henderson.

No quorum being present ;
On motion, of Mr. Barnes ;
The Door-keepers were ordered to notify the absent mem-
ber now in the city, to give their attendance.
After an absence of twenty minutes the Door-keepers re-
turned and reported that all the members, now in the city,
were already in attendance.
Hon. William M. Merrick, member elect from Howard
county appeared, qualified and took his seat.

At 11 o'clock, and fifteen minutes, the Convention ad-
journed.
