Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Henry Woodcock Seven pounds,
seventeen shillings and six pence Current Money for Tuition to Miss Grason up to the 5th.
instant as per Account passed by his Excellency the Governor.

George Goldsmith Presbury appointed a Justice of the Court of oyer and terminer and
goal delivery for Baltimore County, Robert Smith having resigned and

Commission issued to John Moale, James Calhoun, Otho Holland Williams, George
Goldsmith Presbury and George Salmon Justices of the said Court.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Friday 16th. April 1790

The Council met.

Present as on yesterday.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt. John Hamilton four pounds, ten
shillings to be delivered over to Capt. George P. Keeports due him for the translation of
two Acts of Assembly into the German and French languages.

Thomas Johnson Esquire is unanimously appointed a Judge of the General Court in
the room of the Hon'ble. Robert Hanson Harrison Esqr. deceased.

Resolved that Mr. Johnson be first named in the Commission for the Judges of the
General Court.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Saturday 17th. April 1790

The Council met.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Samuel Mills one pound, fourteen
shillings and nine pence for Shoes for Thomas Walley per Account passed by his Excellency
the Governor.

[p. 165] Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt. Philip Hill Fifteen
pounds to be delivered over to Mrs. Mary Hilleary widow of the late Lieut. Rignal Hilleary,
due her for three Months half pay to the 1st. February last.
