Monday 12th. July 1790

The Council met.

Indulgence granted to the following persons :
Darius Gamble and Joseph Boone—new Bond given by Darius Gamble and John Rowles

for £375 curr't. money dated this day.
Jeremiah Orme and Sam'l. Beall junr.—new Bond by Jeremiah Orme and Alex'r. Clagett

for £375. curr't. money dated this day.
James Hegan and Jehoiakim Braikley of Caecil Co[un]ty writing of Consent transmitted

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Samuel Sterrett Esquire, Agent for
the Messrs. Van Staphorsts Three thousand and sixty one pounds, eight shillings and four
pence Current Money, out of the Money collected and to be collected in Virtue of the Act to
procure a permanent fund for the debt due from this State to the said Messrs. Van Staphorsts,
to be applied to the payment of the advances of Interest made upon the loan negotiated by them.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Tuesday 13th. July 1790

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

Indulgence granted to John D. Carey and George Scott of Fred'k. Co'ty. agreeably to
the Act respect'g. the Debtors &ca. they having transmitted their writing of Consent. [p.
189]

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Mrs. Tootell Seven pounds, ten shillings
for one quarter's Board of Thomas Walley advanced her on Account.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.
