220 Journal of the State Council, 1784-1789.

Mr. Thomas Johnson is unanimously appointed Register of Wills
for Anne Arundel County and Commission Issued.

[p 265] Saturday October 27th. 1787

The Council met.

Present His Excellency William Smallwood Esquire.

The Honorable James Brice

John Kilty

John Davidson Esquires.

Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer Pay to John Shaw
two pounds ten shillings, Current money, to be by him expended
in Transporting the Military Stores from this City to Frederick
Town and Accounted for.

That the said Treasurer pay to John Shaw fourteen
pounds, three shillings and fourpence current money to be by him
expended in Transporting the Military Stores from this City to
Frederick Town and accounted for.

Copy of the Signals between the Emperor of Morocco and the
United States, granted James Wallace Captain of the Ship Sally,
seventy five feet Keel, of the burthen of two hundred and ninety seven
Tons, and Registered at Annapolis on the 26th. of April 1786, the
property of John Muir, Charles Wallace and Joshua Johnson of
Maryland merchants, having been formerly Registered at the Port
of Chester.

Wednesday October 31st. 1787

The Council met.

Present His Excellency William Smallwood Esquire.

The Honorable Jeremiah T. Chase

James Brice

John Kilty

John Davidson Esquires.

Robert Denny is Appointed Clerk to the Council, and Certificate
of his qualification produced and filed.
