Hall & John Addison gentl greeting Whereas Henry Stocket late
of Ann Arundell County was sumoned to Answer unto Henry
Phippes of a plea that he render unto him his reasonable accompt
for the tyme of was Receiver of the tobacco of him the said Henry
Phippes Now so farr itt is proceeded in our Provinciall Court that
the said Henry Stocket ought to accompt with the said Henry
Phippes Wee doe therefore hereby authorize & appoint you the said
Walter Hall & John Addison Auditors to audite state & examine the
accompts of the said parties And that you meet att such tyme &
place as to you shall seem meet And that the said parties doe then &
there attend you untill the accompts be fully stated by you And you
are hereby further impowered and appointed to Administer Oaths
to any wittnesses that shall be pduced before you as well on the part
of the plaintiffe as on the part of the Defendt And the said accompts
when audited & stated between the said parties, that you the said
Auditors make report thereof unto our Justices of our Provinciall
Court the twelfth day of October next under your hands & Seales
And for yor proceedings herein this shall be your warrant Wittnes
our trusty & welbeloved Thomas Notley Esqr our Lievt Genll & chiefe
Justice of our said Province the seventh day of October in the third
yeare of our Dominion &c Annoq Doni 1678.
Att which said twelfth day of October in the yeare aforesaid the
Auditor aforesaid make their report under their hands & Seales, and
deliver the same into Court with an accompt thereunto annexed of
Debitor and Creditor which is as followes Vizt
